Negotiation and Leadership are International

❓Where have you travelled outside your country?
❓How are negotiations done globally?
❓What have you discovered about dealing with other cultures?

The past few weeks with students from Tawain and The University of Texas at Dallas involved in the ECLAT program. ECLAT stands for Education Changes Lives and Times.

Under the guidance of Hubert Zydorek Bruno A. Chavez Flores Beth Nikopoulos Eboni Walker Byrd M.Ed. this UT Dallas Center for Global Business program offers amazing opportunities.

Part of the Future Leaders Program at UT Dallas, students connect with various corporate professionals and learn about their companies. For instance, they heard from leadership legend Ron Nash and networked with servant leader executives like Kris Fitzgerald and Javier A. Mazon.

Many are volunteers and alumni members of the Future Leaders Program Alumni Association.

The first two weeks, they learned about team dynamics, leadership, high stakes communication and negotiation. My role is helping them prepare to make a powerful team Ask on behalf of a non-profit.

They have had visits to area companies, including Toyota Motor Corporation where we were hosted by Alexander Perez, AML-CA, Six-Sigma and Lee Gonzalez, CPP.

They have also absorbed Dallas culture with George W. Bush Presidential Center, Frontiers of Flight Museum, FORT WORTH STOCKYARDS, INC. , and Texas Rangers Baseball vs Houston Astros game.

In two weeks, our Naveen Jindal School of Management, UT Dallas are off to Tawain.

The time spent with these talented students has been refreshing and a reminder that the world becomes smaller and deals richer when you build relationships.
