We lost our mom/Mama Pat Byars, on Sunday. Mom was a firecracker who turned 89 on July 5.
More than anything, our Mom was a teacher. She worked as a professor at Dallas College on its Brookhaven campus for decades into her early 80s. Personally, she encouraged others to better their lives, including her caregivers.
❓Who was your best teacher? Why?
❓What was the best advice a teacher gave you?
Here’s her obituary. https://lnkd.in/giW98Mz9
Like our dad, Byron, Mom valued education, hard work, community service, and commitment to family. We established a scholarship in honor of our parents. The giving link is Patricia and Byron R. Byars, Jr. Family Endowed Scholarship https://lnkd.in/gvBX8kvk
In lieu of flowers or food, we would be honored if you would donate to the scholarship, share a story or memory of Pat/Mama Pat/Ms. Pat here. OR share how a teacher changed your life in a positive way.
