Wheeler Dealers Who Know How to Positively Negotiate

One of the highlights this year has to be presenting the keynote for the PacLease – PACCAR Leasing Company System-Wide Sales Summit at Gaylord Hotels in Grapevine. This year’s meeting brought together their network for collaboration, insight sharing, and discussions focused on driving success across the PacLease system.

Imagine all the negotiating involved with renting, leasing, and maintaining medium to heavy duty trucks and tractors. Those rental & lease sales people, sales managers and general managers/directors gathered to upgrade and help each other improve their results!

Dealmaking becomes easier when you have a reputation for superior quality and performance of PACCAR which manufactures both Peterbilt Motors Company and Kenworth Truck Co.

What impressed me the most? The people most would call suppliers or vendors in other industries were clearly business partners committed to each others’ success, their clients, the end user, and even the safety of our community. Also, the commitment and support of women in trucking is impressive.

The panel theme of “Going for the Gold” may need to be modified next year to “Maintaining the Gold.” These high performers continue to reach the gold standard in the industry, in partnering for success, and in positive negotiation.
