I am beyond thrilled to be named the Hall of Fame Speaker for this year’s HRSouthwest Conference. This honor was a surprise and is a very big deal to receive from a community I value you so much. My friends Julie Burch, President Julie Burch Speaks Randy Anderson, CSP and Deborah Avrin are previous inductees.
Below is a bit of our history together.
When I practiced employment law, members of hashtag#HRSW answered my questions,
shared real strategies to help employers build workplace cultures that encourage communication and avoid lawsuits.
Years ago, this is the place I met my business coach Elaine Morris who helped me build my legal practice, then later transition from law to speaking.
These are the people who provide answers to research and gave me the opportunity to speak for and train their people.
Some of my best clients and friends came from this supportive community.
When I write, I think of my HR community and the people they serve. My books and programs always reflect suggestions to help them grow leaders and improve their work places.
If you are able to attend the conference, please let me know. The prices increase in July. If you need help asking and convincing your boss or to making a case to leadership to help you attend, this is an excellent resource.

Dale Albrecht and Maria Hasenhuttl have talked about having some of outstanding Naveen Jindal School of Management, UT Dallas attend, especially those involved in the SHRM at UT Dallas and in hashtag#JSOM’s Organizational Behavior Management programs.
If you would like to sponsor a student, whether they attend The University of Texas at Dallas, Texas Tech University – Rawls College of Business or another university, here is a link to do so. Bruce W. Waller, CRP, PHR, SHRM-CP does DallasHR or Texas SHRM sponsor students separately?
