According to studies, the majority of people stop their New Year’s Resolutions by now.
Another perspective is that you were test driving that resolution for a few weeks. Now, it could be time to be both realistic and bold on pursuing the goal you really want.
Most people don’t ask for what they want—not because they can’t, but because they stop themselves. Maybe they’re convinced they don’t deserve the opportunity, perhaps they’ve been discouraged, or there was a bad result in the past.
❓Are you holding yourself back because you’re afraid of hearing “no”?
Real power comes from feeling the fear and asking anyway. Start noticing when someone or some memory tries to silence your voice—and choose to speak up.
To help you reflect, you may want to use my Wrapping the End of the Year Activity. It’s a short set of questions to help you recognize what you survived, where you thrived, and what makes you happy to be alive.
